Anthem Employee Assistance Program

An employee assistance program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to assist members and dependents in resolving personal problems. Anthem’s EAP provides immediate, confidential access to information, referrals, and crisis assistance for members and their dependents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Counseling

Anthem EAP has an extensive network of licensed behavioral professionals who can help you address a variety of issues either in person or through online sessions:

  • Feelings of overwhelming loss or grief
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Stress management
  • Times of crisis

Financial Consultation

Members receive a free telephone consultation with one of Anthem's financial professionals who can help you:
  • Understand your financial situations
  • Develop a new frame of mind for thinking about money
  • Come up with ideas to help get ahead
  • Stay on track

Legal Consultation

Members receive a free 30-minute telephone or in-person consultation with one of Anthem's contracted network attorneys or mediators. Additional legal services are available at a 25% discount from customary fees. Anthem's network of legal professionals can discuss almost any type of legal issue with members including:
  • Personal business legal services
  • Civil/consumer issues
  • Criminal matters
  • Estate planning law
  • IRS matters
  • Personal injury
  • Personal/family legal services
  • Real estate
  • And many others

Elder & Child Care Consultation

Members and their household members will have access to a comprehensive network of child and elder care providers throughout the United States. Services may include, but are not limited to:
  • Home health agencies and nursing programs
  • Childcare resources
  • Special needs care
